Welcome to my personal cycling pages. I am going to offer some suggestions on thing to do and the places and events that I personally enjoy, in and around Seattle, Washington, and links to WEB sites that I find personally relevant.
I am not making an effort to be an all inclusive cycling links site. That would take more time than I have to devote to it and it is already being done elsewhere. I am not involved in racing, of any sort, so you aren't going to find much here. I don't do any mountain biking, so you will have to go elsewhere for that. Since my personal interests are Communting and Road Cycling what you find here will be, somehow, related to these activities. Therefor the links on these pages are limited to:
- Bicycle related sites in the Pacific Northwest section of the USA, with emphasis on the Puget Sound region.
- Road cycling, communing, and touring related sites, or sites that somehow are related to road cycling.
I am, at this time, not going to offer a lot of opinions on how to do anything specific since there are many people around the net who are more experienced and more knowledgeable on the technical side of cycling. Who knows, maybe someday I'll actually have some real content. Any one who has any suggestions or wishes to contribute something can contact me here.
With that out of the way you can visit my Pacific Northwest links page or my General Road cycling page.
My favorite area to ride in is about 15 miles east of Seattle, stretching between North Bend, through the Snoqualmie River valley, then North as far as Arlington. So, here are some of my favorite local rides. NOTE: Still very incomplete. This list is far from inclusive, it is just my favorite route. There are so many great areas to ride in through out the Puget Sound area it would be impossible to cover them all here. A good starting point for anyone looking for somewhere different to ride in Western Washington, or if you are new to the area, are the three "Bicycling The Backroads" books by Erin & Bill Woods, published by "The Mountaineers".
