This page is the result of a chance encounter with John Walker's reading list on his web site.
You may not find this list interesting or useful (or John Walker's either.)   Perhaps my family will find it of use when they are searching for the that gift for any occasion.   To quote Mr. Walker, "A book's appearing on this list does not necessarily mean I recommend you read it, nor even that it's worth reading at all in my opinion; it simply means that I've read it"   Also I have not included any thing would be considered a reference book.
As the list grows you will note that my choice of topics, while varied is somewhat limited.   Many types of books will never appear here.   This is to say that they aren't worthwhile only that I haven't read them for lack of time and/or interest.
Finally, a quote from Groucho Marx, "I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book."

Included books read prior to the start of this list. These are included for informational purposes only. The fact that I've remembered them and taken the time to include them here can be considered a recommendation.
Connie Willis, Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing Of The Dog, Firewatch, Passage. One of my favorite authors. I can recommend any of her works, I haven't read them all, but I'm working on it.
Richard P. Feyman, The Meaning Of It All: Thoughts of a Citizen-Scientist. Although dating from 1963 this is still a great book. It is one that should be read by all thoughtful people.
